Justice and Dispute Resolution
The Social Science Dimensions team has extensive experience researching justice and dispute resolution systems in subsistence social contexts in the Southeast Asia - Pacific region, including the interface between traditional justice systems and state justice systems in post-conflict East Timor, and dispute resolution approaches in Vanuatu, Timor-Leste and Papua New Guinea. Based on this experience, SSD is well positioned to undertake research for private and public sector clients to identify means of improving justice and dispute resolution processes to maximise sustainability, reduce cost, improve human rights outcomes and increase effectiveness.
