Social Science Dimensions team members have extensive experience with a diverse range of rural development projects. These include the structuring of donor support for private sector development (PSD) to maximise community benefits from rural PSD in accordance with sustainability principles; preparation of guidelines for investors and community members aimed at ensuring win-win outcomes in connection with rural agribusiness engagements in customary social contexts; research and policy work concerning post-subsistence agricultural development and the advancement of reciprocal commitment between investors and community members in under-performing agricultural contexts; value-chain analysis; scoping of potential for investment in sustainable forestry projects; research into customary administration and dispute resolution systems and identification of means by which customary land can be managed to reduce conflict and promote development, and; field monitoring of agribusiness sites to ensure observance of sustainability principles.
