Sustainability and Natural Resource Governance
With the growing focus on social and environmental standards and the increasing role of standards and certification schemes in the monitoring and regulation of industrial and natural resource projects in developing countries, sustainability has become a key consideration in the design and management of projects. Social Science Dimensions team members have both undertaken applied monitoring and auditing work in the field, and worked with donors and stakeholders to advance the use of industry standards schemes in sensitive contexts.
